One gift is worth a thousand words. With every present, PRESENT NOW hopes to provide recognition to each child to ensure that they do not feel forgotten during a time of uncertainty. As we enter the new year, we are honored to celebrate this past year of unprecedented impact that supports families and uplifts children across the nation.
In 2023, PRESENT NOW had its most transformative year yet, all thanks to our team of generous volunteers, donors, staff, shelter partners, and partners who make our mission possible. With the unrelenting commitment of our community and in collaboration with our 89 shelter partners, we were able to give 2,834 presents to children living in domestic violence transitional shelters across 15 states.
Scaling Up For Good
As we welcomed Back-To-School season in September, PRESENT NOW relocated to a new 2,100 square foot industrial office space. This move now allows us to accept large pallet donations and significantly raise our gift inventory.
With more shelters at our disposal, we can onboard a new shelter partner in Texas that serves 1,000 children annually and has been on our waitlist for two years.
Expanding Our Reach
Our valued partnerships with shelters across the country make the progress of PRESENT NOW possible. This year, we welcomed 27 new shelter partners from two new states, Missouri and Indiana. This expansion brings our total number of shelter partners to 89 across 15 states.
The Gift of Giving
Volunteers are the backbone of Present Now. We could not pack thousands of gifts each year or spread as much joy without the countless hours of love donated to PRESENT NOW by our passionate volunteers.
To recognize their invaluable contributions, PRESENT NOW became a certified U.S. Presidential Volunteer Service Award organization. This prestigious honor is bestowed upon volunteers age 5 and up who complete eligible service within a 12-month period and over a lifetime.
Transforming Spaces
PRESENT NOW is proud to provide children with a fresh start. Through a generous annual grant from our Founder’s Circle, PRESENT NOW was able to assist our shelter partner, Interval House, in transforming their playground and children’s center. Now, they can provide children and families with safer, more enjoyable space to play and recover.
This year, we have become a force for good together. We at PRESENT NOW are immensely grateful for the achievements of our team of committed volunteers, donors, staff and supporters. With your continued support, we can reach our goal of gifting 5,000 presents annually by 2025.
