PRESENT NOW honored at 5th Annual Raise Your Voice for Peace Youth Music competition

Jenesse Center Inc., a nationally recognized non-profit domestic violence prevention and intervention organization, recently hosted its 5th annual Raise Your Voice for Peace Youth Music Competition, on May 13, 2023, at the Grammy Museum, in downtown Los Angeles. PRESENT NOW and co-Founders Erica Fisher and Melanie Neumann were honored for their work with youth which has made profound, positive changes in their lives; and whose support of Jenesse Center has allowed the organization to continue its mission in ensuring that the most vulnerable youth in our community can embrace self-love and build healthy relationships.

“PRESENT NOW was extremely honored to receive the Raise Your Voice for Peace award,” said co-Founder Melanie Neumann who was on hand to accept the award. “Our 10-year partnership with Jenesse Center has been rewarding in countless ways and we look forward to continuing to serve more families.”

PRESENT NOW and Jenesse Center’s partnership started in 2013 when they became our third shelter partner in Los Angeles. Jenesse’s programs and services not only transition families from crisis to self-sufficiency but transforms the lives of its clients and the community by offering education, referrals, and resources beyond shelter including mental health counseling, independent life skills classes, computer training, job referrals, after-school programs for children, field trips, tutoring, and direct legal services.

Jenesse Center also proactively educates young people to learn what healthy relationships look like and works to break the generational cycle of violence.
